Travelogue: UK Trip, Day 2: Monument

Located on Monument Street off of Fish Hill Street, it was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and built between 1671 and 1677 to commemorate the Great Fire of London and to celebrate the rebuilding of the city. The Monument stands 202 feet high, the exact distance between it and the site in Pudding Lane where the fire began in September 1666. JP and I both earned a certificate that we climbed all 311 steps to the Monument's top. While we were there, we got a few pics:
